Titanium Carbide Powder (TiC) is a transition metal carbide with the chemical formula TiC, molecular weight of 59.89, density of 4.93 g/cm³, melting point of 3140°C, and boiling point of 4820°C. It has the characteristics of high hardness, high melting point, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, good thermal stability, etc. It can be used in high temperature thermal spray materials, welding materials, hard film materials, military aviation materials, hard alloys and cermets and also as an additive to make thermistors to improve wear resistance.
