WS-3 is a white powder crystal, used as a cooling agent for skin and lipstick. It is performed as a cooling agent in mint formulas, various spice formulas and oral care products, and as a coolingagent in chewing gum and children's sugar, too.
With a concentration of 10-100mg/kg, it acts on the trigeminal nerve to have a strong and long-lasting cool taste. The cool taste is very light at first, but rises steadily until it reaches the long-lasting cool taste with slight camphor and mint characteristics.
