In November, the production of raw coal by industrial enterprises above designated size remained stable, the growth rate of crude oil production accelerated, natural gas production grew steadily, and electricity production maintained growth.
I. Production of raw coal, crude oil, and natural gas and related information
Raw coal production remained stable. In November, the output of raw coal from industrial enterprises above designated size was 430 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.5%; the average daily output was 14.23 million tons.
From January to November, the output of raw coal from industrial enterprises above designated size was 4.4 billion tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.4%.
Crude oil production growth accelerated. In November, crude oil production by enterprises above designated size reached 17.63 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.2%, 0.9 percentage points higher than in October; the average daily output was 588,000 tons.
From January to November, crude oil production by enterprises above designated size totaled 198.25 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.7%.
Crude oil processing maintained steady growth. In November, crude oil processing volume by enterprises above designated size reached 60.83 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.9%; the average daily processing volume was 2.028 million tons.
From January to November, crude oil processing volume by enterprises above designated size reached 675.07 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.0%.
Natural gas production maintained steady growth. In November, industrial enterprises above designated size produced 21.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%; the average daily output was 730 million cubic meters.
From January to November, industrial enterprises above designated size produced 238.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%.
II. Electricity Production Situation
Electricity production by industrial enterprises above designated size maintained growth. In November, the electricity generation of these enterprises reached 779.2 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 2.7%; the average daily electricity generation was 25.97 billion kilowatt-hours. From January to November, the electricity generation of these enterprises totaled 8,856.7 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%.
By type, in November, thermal power generation by these enterprises reversed its growth trend and began to decline, while hydropower saw relatively rapid growth, nuclear power and solar power generation accelerated, and wind power reversed its decline and began to increase. Specifically, thermal power generation by these enterprises decreased by 4.2% year-on-year, compared to a 7.3% increase in October; hydropower generation increased by 17.1%, a slowdown of 11.1 percentage points compared to October; nuclear power generation increased by 4.7%, an acceleration of 0.5 percentage points compared to October; wind power generation increased by 22.0%, compared to a decrease of 11.9% in October; and solar power generation increased by 23.4%, an acceleration of 17.5 percentage points compared to October.
