2024 China Titanium Dioxide Production Capacity and Output

In 2024, China's cumulative annual production of titanium dioxide reached 4.8126 million tons, representing a year-on-year increase of 14.10%, with an output growth of approximately 594,700 tons. The cumulative production of chloride-process titanium dioxide for the year stood at 658,400 tons, marking a year-on-year growth of 18.73%.

In 2024, China's titanium dioxide production capacity increased by 500,000 tons, and the output steadily expanded. However, due to market fluctuations, production experienced a slight month-on-month decline in October and November. By December, market orders increased, leading to improved production and sales performance, and the output reached a historic high.

According to customs data, China's cumulative titanium dioxide exports from January to December 2024 amounted to approximately 1.9017 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 15.84%, with an additional 260,000 tons exported. During this period, 1.5558 million tons of sulfate-process titanium dioxide and 345,900 tons of chloride-process titanium dioxide were exported.
