The foundation-laying ceremony of Western Plastics Science and Technology Industrial Park opens recently in northwest China’s Gansu Province with provincial governors and city leaders attended.

The industrial park, focusing on plastics processing and sustainable development, is set up to serve the plastics industry in Lanzhou, capital of Gansu Province.

Despite resources integration and scale expansion, the industrial park also aims to adjust the whole layout of Lanzhou’s plastics processing industry and improve the city’s environment through reusing waste plastics.

The Western Plastics Science and Technology Industrial Park, covering an area of 500 mu, is expected to be the largest one in western China. With a total investment of 2 billion, the industrial park is said to see an annual output value of 5 billion and an annual tax of 0.8 billion.
