Titanos: Stable supply of 95% natural rutile for use in industries such as welding rods and titanium dioxide

Time: 2023-12-20 Source from: Titanos

Shanghai Titanos Industrial Co., Ltd. provides a long-term stable supply of 95% high-quality natural rutile, which has excellent properties and characteristics such as high temperature resistance, low temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, high strength, and small specific gravity. It is also known for its bright metallic luster and deep red color. It is one of the necessary raw materials for high-end welding rods and the best raw material for producing rutile titanium dioxide. There are warehouse storage in many regions across the country, with high cost-effectiveness and efficient delivery. Choose reliable products, choose qualified suppliers, choose one-stop service, choose "Titanos".

Rutile is relatively pure titanium dioxide, generally containing more than 95% titanium dioxide. It is an important mineral raw material for refining titanium, but its reserves are small in the earth's crust. Rutile is one of the main minerals containing titanium. Tetragonal crystal system, often with intact tetragonal columnar or needle-like crystal forms, and the aggregates are granular or dense blocks. Dark red, brown red, yellow or orange, iron-rich ones are black; streaks are yellow to light brown. Diamond luster, iron rutile has a semi-metallic luster. It is brittle, with a hardness of 6-6.5 and a density of 4.2-4.3g/cm3. Those rich in iron, niobium and tantalum have an increased density, and the highest ones can reach more than 5.5g/cm3. It can be dissolved in hot phosphoric acid. After cooling and diluting, adding sodium peroxide can turn the solution into yellowish brown (reaction of titanium). Rutile can be produced in gneiss, pegmatite, eclogite (amphibole) bodies and placer deposits.

Application:

1. Titanium dioxide is a natural mineral used in the production of white pigments in paints,   plastics, and paper;

2. Welding electrodes: Rutile is used as a coating material for welding electrodes due to its high melting point and corrosion resistance;

3. Ceramics: Glazes used on ceramics to provide a shiny, metallic surface;

4. Electronics: Semiconductor materials used in the production of electronic components;

5. Solar Panels: Coating materials used to increase the efficiency of solar panels;

6. Aerospace: Used in the aerospace industry as a coating material for aircraft components due to its high strength and corrosion resistance.
