Tio2 Price Fluctuate in Asia

Rutile titanium dioxide in Asia is expected to see a price decrease to US$2,700-3,100 per tonne CFR Asia in second quarter of the year.

Titanium dioxide price in Southeast Asia area is about US$2,900 per tonne CFR India. Local products charge US$3,000 per tonne CFR SEA, and those from Europe charge US$2,800-2,900 per tonne CFR SEA. As buyer’s expected price is mostly US$2,700-2,800 per tonne CFR SEA, however, some companies sell their tio2 products at US$2700 per tonne CFR SEA, or even lower.

Price in Japan is still 340000-350000 Japanese Yen (US$3,441.8-3,543.0) per tonne. Supply and demand in Japan is more balanced now while Korea, with a price of US$ 2800-3100 per tonne CFR Korea, is still in demand trough.

Indian rutile titanium dioxide is currently being quoted at 165,000 Indian rupee (US$3039.6) per tonne EXW, which is steadier than earlier this year, and frequent customers or those with big orders may enjoy preferential price at 150,000-158,000 rupee. Price for high-end products has declined while import price has seen not much movement.

China’s titanium dioxide through sulfuric acid process charge US$2,400-2,450 per tonne CFR India.
