Annual meeting of Chinese coatings and pigments industry was held by China National Coatings Association last week in Hefei, capital of Eastern China’s Anhui Province, and president of the association Sun Lianying attended and addressed the meeting.

Focusing on information exchanging and resource sharing, the chief aim of the meeting is to sum up last year’s work experience and to forecast 2013’s market conditions.

President Sun expressed her worry about the unfavorable circumstances facing Chinese coatings industry and tried to figure out solutions with other delegates participating in the meeting. It is expected that coatings industry will see a development opportunity in the second half year with preferential policy, promotion of urbanization process and development of newly-emerged industries. Economic recovery in the United States and Europe also contributes to the improvement of global coatings industry’s business environment.

Coatings industry’s rebound may also spur the Tio2 market that is now far from optimistic.
