Addivant has other customer formulation centers in North America, the Middle East and Europe. The company said the Asian center will provide the latest in "form-giving technology," including the Addivant's non-dust blends.

 

The firm will increase its investment in research and development in order "to deliver new chemistries and manufacturing: to build new formulation centers that are close to our customers allowing us to tailor our solutions and deliver them quickly and safely," according to President and CEO Peter Smith, president.

 

He said the company will add to its local technical organization to support the new facility.

 

Addivant manufactures specialty additives including antioxidants, light stabilizers, rubber additives, polymer modifiers, polymerization inhibitors and intermediates. It has 11 plants on five continents, as well as research, manufacturing and sales facilities around the world.

 

Owned by SK Capital, Addivant is the former antioxidant and UV stabilizer solutions business of Chemtura Corp.
