A technological renovation project was held recently by AnHui Annada Titanium Industry Co., Ltd., aiming to reach an annual output of 40,000 tonne of rutile titanium dioxide with compact composite membrane. The first qualified batch during trial production was produced on Feb 20.

According to Annada, the project’s core technology has already taken the lead in the nation. It is also said that rutile titanium dioxide produced with such technology possesses better weathering resistance, dispersancy and scattering power of an internationally advanced level.

The successful operation of this project may promote Annada’s business structure updating, thus enhance the company’s profit-making capability and competitive strength.

The renovation project, with an investment of 358 million Chinese Yuan, is based on achievements in a scientific research held by Annada and Tsinghua University. Started in March, 2011, the project has reached its preparatory phase of trial production by the end of 2012, and commissioning period this February.
