The expansion of Trimite Powders will not generate any new jobs immediately, but it does position the Spartanburg facility to capitalize on increased demand for our products and prepares us for the next stage of our growth plan, said the company's president, Dean Edwards.

 

“We are grateful for the assistance we've received from the local economic development community, namely the Spartanburg Economic Futures Group and Duke Energy,” Dean Edwards, said.

 

“Integral Solutions has been a longtime corporate neighbor of Trimite and we are thrilled to see yet another existing industry in Spartanburg County continue to invest in their facility, workforce, and community,” says Russ Weber, president of Integral Solutions Group and Chairman of the Spartanburg Economic Futures Group Board of Directors.

 

“Spartanburg Community College is always eager and willing to assist our existing industry in any way possible to facilitate their continued growth in Spartanburg County. In this instance we were thrilled to leverage the resources of the Center for Business & Entrepreneurial Development and provide Trimite with temporary storage space for their new production equipment while construction is in process,” said Mike Forrester, director of Economic Development of Spartanburg Community College and Economic Futures Group Board Member.

 

Trimite Powders manufactures powder coatings for refrigeration, cash machines, lighting, industrial motors, home furniture and other uses, according to its web site.

 

The company was founded in the United Kingdom. The company has enjoyed more than 20 years of success in Spartanburg County since expanding from the United Kingdom to open its only North American production facility, Edwards said.

 

Roebuck Buildings Co. of Spartanburg County will construct the Trimite Powders new addition. It is expected to be completed by January, 2014.
