Titanium ore market experienced general price increases last week, especially in Panzhihua Region, Sichuan Province. Followed by recent price hike by 50 yuan/mt, leading ore dealers in South-west China announced price increase again last week by 100 yuan/mt. The acceptance price is now 1,150 yuan/mt, exclusive of tax.

In accordance with price hikes of ore materials, operating rate in Panxi Region also rose to 70 percent last week.

 

Current titanium ore prices:

Panxi region, Sichuan Province (exclusive of tax): 860-910 yuan/mt

Vietnam (including tax): 1650 yuan/mt

 

Market Forecast:

Take decreasing market demands into account, titanium ore dealers are trying to control the increase rate of ore prices in order not to damage titanium dioxide manufacturers’ confidence.
