Many of the titanium dioxide manufacturers announced price increase last week, which is viewed as a favorable turn for floundering domestic market. Increasing price of titanium ore, meaning higher manufacturing cost, gives producers the best reason for raising price.

 

According to Jin Zhengyuan, sales manager of Shanghai Titanos Industry Co., Ltd., coatings and ink industries--two most important downstream industries of titanium dioxide—are stepping into peak season, which means a greater demand for titanium dioxide in September and coming October.
