National Ministry of Environmental Protection took steps last week to restrict the pollution caused by chemical industries, especially the titanium industry, leading to a price increase for titanium dioxide products.

Current titanium dioxide prices (price including tax):
Rutile titanium dioxide: 13,500-14,800 yuan/mt
Anatase titanium dioxide: 11,800-13,000 yuan/mt

Market Forecast:
Further price increases are likely to seen in the coming “golden September”, but for the short term, the titanium dioxide prices may continue to fluctuate.
