Latest titanium dioxide prices (including tax) in China:

Rutile titanium dioxide: 12,000-12,800 yuan/mt

Anatase titanium dioxide: 8,300-10,500 yuan/mt

 

Market Analysis:

 

Rutile titanium dioxide prices kept dropping during the past week, however, anatase ones were somehow preferred by users.

 

At the beginning of year 2014, anatase titanium dioxide prices dived as those of rutile ones hike. Two Central China based titanium dioxide manufacturers have already quit the production of anatase titanium dioxide, making the nationwide capacity shrinks by six tonnes.

 

The prices have dropped to RMB8200 yuan per tonne by the end of year 2014, tax inclueded.

 

But increasing demands and rapidly shrinking stocks helped with the price rebound. The anatase titanium dioxide stock almost reached the bottom line last week and some manufacturers decided to raise the prices by 3%, that is, RMB300 yuan per tonne.
