Analysis of Chinese Sulfuric Acid Market in September

Sulfuric acid prices rose with fluctuations in September and ended up with CNY￥382, up 4.09% month-on-month and 10.19% year-on-year.
Chinese sulfuric acid market saw a small consolidation period in September. The overall operating rate was 80%, and the inventory was notably tightened.
Sulfuric acid prices remained stable last month with slight rises by CNY￥10 to 20 per tonne, due to falling prices of sulphur, lowering producing costs of sulfoacid and weakening demands from ammonium phosphate and chemical fertilizer markets.
SunSirs' analyst Wang Tengjiao says that Chinese sulfuric acid market may not see high price volatility in October, considering the coming of chemical fertilizer industry's off-season.
