The situation in the Russian polypropylene (PP) market has stabilised in mid-September.
Supply of some PP grades continued to be tight , but it will improve in the near future, according to ICIS-MRC Price Report.
A series of scheduled maintenance works in July - August led to serious shortages and a record rise in PP prices.
Poliom and Ufaorgsintez have resumed PP production following the turnarounds in early September, and in mid September situation in the market of homopolymer PP of raffia grade stabilised.
There is a little shortage of injection moulding homopolymer PP felt in the market. Supply of raffia has significantly improved in mid September. Ufaorgsintez does not offer raffia in the market, switching to the production of injection moulding homopolymer PP; Poliom has switched to the production of homopolymer PP for BOPP films production.
Price offers for raffia this week were heard in the range of Rb73,000-76,000/tonne FAC, including VAT. Many market participants reported a tight supply of injection moulding homopolymer PP in the market.

The range of spot prices is quite wide at Rb75,000-79,000/tonne FCA, including VAT.
