ANNADA Announced a Price Increase by RMB300

Domestic titanium dioxide manufacturer ANNADA announced a price increase on Aug 5of its rutile titanium dioxide by RMB300 per metric ton. This is the fifth time within the year that domestic leading manufacturers raise titanium dioxide prices.
According to SunSirs’ analyst Yang Xun, ANNADA’s decision, along with LOMON’s price increase on Aug 1, may cheer up domestic markets to a certain extent. In fact, around ten of the local manufacturers have already made their moves.
Sustained downturn of real estate markets has somehow dragged down the coatings industry and thus reduced demands for titanium dioxide. This year’s price hikes are mainly encouraged by booming export sales.
