Canada: the Largest Supplier of Pulp in China in the First Half of 2014

Import quantities of pulp in domestic markets are around 8.80 million tons in the first half of this year, values of which reach 6.04 billion dollars, up 9.68% compared to the first half of last year. And pulp imports in June is 1.51 million tons.
Imports of pulp from Canada were 1.3 billion dollars, accounting for 21.51% of the total amount. Judging from these data analysis, Canada has been the main pulp supplier of imports for the first half year, followed by Brazil, the United States, Indonesia and Chile.
According to the data from PAPEREC, Brazil supplied 1.03 billion dollars in China (account for 17.1%), up 19.93% compared to the first half of last year. The pulp imports from the United States were 756 million dollars (account for 12.51%), down 2.97% year on year. The pulp imports from Indonesia were 609 million dollars (account for 10.07%), up 2.97% year on year. The pulp imports from Chile were 512 million dollars (account for 8.84%), up 0.88% compared to the first half of last year. The pulp imports from Russia were 402 million dollars (account for 6.65%), up 33.81% year on year. The pulp imports from the United Finland were 396 million dollars (account for 6.54%), up 19.89% year on year.
