" Lasting the trend of 2011 year, the trend of the cost pressure of raw material is great in 2012." The Sun chemical of purchasing manager, EdPruitt said, " the price of resin, solvent (especially in Europe), acrylic, energy curing resin, carbon black, titanium pigment, nitrocellulose, phthalocyanine pigment and other kinds of raw material is instability.

"We look forward in 2012, and hope to see raw material performance continue to be improved. We also hope that the prices fluctuations of oil and petrochemical derivatives products, titanium pigment and other commodity  could be with the global synchronization." Mr. Pruitt added.

Vice President DianeParisi of the supply chain of North America of Flint Groupvice President pointed out that in 2011, the cost of raw materials directly affectd the development of the printing ink industry, which has many causes including supply and demand relations, the laws and regulations of environmental protection resulting in manufacturing cost rise, and the decrease of raw materials suppliers.

"The rising trend of raw material slightly diminished than that of the end of last year," said Mr. Sickinger. "However, if oil prices was high, and the economy continued to improve, I expect raw material costs continue to rise. Raw material's availability will become a important question. After the real estate market rebounded, the raw materials suppliers found that the construction industry is more dynamic than paints and inks industry. The price and supply of Titanium pigment remains a problem. Anyway, now thea decline of prices of the raw materials has been not enough to offset the previous growth, and from the customer, we are always facing price pressure. Ink industry really needs price pressure of raw material to relax."

Part of the ink production enterprises effected by cost pressure raised prices of ink selectively in some area, and made up for the loss of raw materials of purchasing cost. Ink production enterprises commonly called for ink price increase.
