Specialty Polymers Inc., has hired Paul Harris to be the company’s new technical director. In his role as technical director, Harris will manage, direct and coordinate polymer development and applications labs for the company. He will also be responsible for directing the development of new polymer technologies, and manage technical support.

Harris has more than 25 years of experience in design, development, scale up and production of polymers used in automotive OEM coatings and acrylic latex chemistry. Prior to joining Specialty he was with BASF -corporation-107457/'> BASF Corp. ration in the U.S. and Germany, and was an assistant professor of Inorganic Polymer Chemistry at Virginia Tech.
