Berry Plastics Corp. is completing installation of two machines to increase capacity and efficiency at its Dunkirk plant.

The larger of the two is a $1.5 million blow molding machine. The other is a $100,000 for an upgrade to its material feed system.

Both should be installed by the end of the week.

The Evansville, Indiana, company (NYSE:BERY), has about $5 billion in annual revenues and 90 manufacturing facilities worldwide. Among those are three in New York state. The Dunkirk manufacturing and warehousing facility employs 55 and is part of Berry’s rigid closed top division, making plastic jars and bottles for a variety of clients, mostly those in the food and beverage industry.

Plant manager Alan Gross said the company will now have 14 molding lines, and that the Dunkirk plant manufactures about 100 million bottles and jars a year.
