China's titanium dioxide exports reached approximately 171,800 tons in December 2025

According to customs data, my country exported 171,800 tons of titanium dioxide in December 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 8.49% and a month-on-month increase of 12.88%. Of this, 127,700 tons were exported via the sulfuric acid process, a month-on-month increase of 8.49%; and 44,200 tons were exported via the chloride process, a month-on-month increase of 27.83%.

From January to December 2025, total titanium dioxide exports reached approximately 1,816,900 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.46%, or approximately 84,800 tons. This marks the first decline in annual titanium dioxide exports since 2016. China's titanium dioxide exports via the chloride process totaled 366,500 tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.95%; exports via the sulfuric acid process totaled 1,450,500 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.77%.

  • Titanium Dioxide Import Data

According to customs data, China imported 6,691.21 tons of titanium dioxide in December 2025, a year-on-year decrease of 7.71% and a month-on-month increase of 25.27%. Imports via the chloride process totaled 3,549.67 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 7.41%, while imports via the sulfuric acid process totaled 3,141.54 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 2.49%.

From January to December 2025, total titanium dioxide imports reached 74,500 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 18.92%. Imports via the sulfuric acid process totaled 30,200 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.99%; imports via the chloride process totaled 44,400 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 26.67%.
