2014 Industrial Coatings Innovative Technology Conference closed on October 23 in downtown Shanghai’s Marriott Hotel. Over 300 coating manufacturers and related businesses attended the conference.

 

Guest speakers from leading manufacturers and research institutions have held more than 40 speeches, brainstorms, and peak dialogues on coating application, especially on water-based coatings, powder coatings, UV coatings and high solid coatings.

 

With the development of modern industry, as well as the increasing consciousness of environmental protection, coating manufacturers are now seeking the improvement of both efficiency and ecology. Therefore, the VOC emissions limits is getting more and more strict in the whole world, and environmental-friendly coatings such as water-based coatings, powder coatings, UV coatings, and high solid coatings, which cause less pollution or negative impact on human health, are prevalent and well-received in global markets.

 

Technical experts from the Industrial Association, well-known universities and research centers made reports at the two-day conference. Industrial elites from leading manufacturers and related enterprises such as Valspar, Datacolor, Axalta, Zhanchen and Titanos also gave speeches on various topics from coating application to new business model.
